Dear Friends,
On today’s Feast of the Visitation we look forward to tomorrow’s First Saturday, June 1, when we honor Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart. June is the Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Whom we will honor by placing our renovated antique Sacred Heart statue in St. Joseph Chapel (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341) for the entire month of June. In this vein, we joyfully anticipate celebrating the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart on June 7—which is also a First Friday.
Next Saturday, June 8, is the liturgical Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary—so special to us as a Fatima Shrine consecrated to our Blessed Mother’s Immaculate Heart. After Mass there will be a ceremony for those who have registered for a Home Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus by the Men of the Sacred Hearts. (Registration slips are still available up to and on June 8. If you’ve already done an enthronement but would like a book, see the last slot on the paper. Home visits are only by appointment, but the blessing is on June 8.) Let’s honor the Heart of the God-Man who has done everything for us and receives so little love in return.
The book, The Eucharist is Really Jesus: How Christ’s Body and Blood Are the Key to Everything We Believe by Joe Heschmeyer of Catholic Answers, will be available for $10.00. The classic, The Blessed Eucharist, Our Greatest Treasure, by Fr. Michael Mueller, will also be available for the same price. These is to rekindle our love for the Eucharistic Jesus as part of the Eucharistic Revival.
