Dear Friends,
Today is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the Poverello (“the Poor Little Man”) of Assisi, whose life and witness may have delayed the Reformation begun by Martin Luther for up to 200 years. May we embrace the radical demands of the Gospel with generosity and joy.
Elections (Nov. 5) are a month from tomorrow. We still need many of our 83 Michigan counties to be spiritually adopted so that at least one of you can intercede daily for more favorable electoral outcomes. The daily Rosary, Chaplet, Eucharistic adoration and offering up your Holy Communion at Mass are some of the ways that God’s grace than lead fellow citizens to vote for the best candidates available. Please let me know and I will assign or give you a county to pray for.
TONIGHT is our 7:00 pm Pet Blessing with dog & cat treats galore. Let’s bless our pets!
Tomorrow is First Saturday & the Feast of St. Faustina: come renew living the Fatima message—a message of mercy—which is Jesus’ wish with its devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I have a copy of the 5-volume set of Maria Valtorta’s The Poem of the Man-God available as well as a 4-volume Liturgy of the Hours (the Breviary). Please let me know if you’re interested.
To communicate with me, please DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL but email me directly at [email protected] or call/text me at (313) 727-9784. St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
In Jesus, Mary & Joseph,
Fr. Alex Kratz, OFM
