Dear Friends,

On this Halloween Day—the Eve of the Hallowed (Holy) Ones—let’s call upon the saints to help us to Heaven: “since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us” (Hebrews 12:1).  There will be no Prayer for the Election tonight—St. Joseph Chapel (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341) will be closed.

All Saints’ Day is a Holy Day of Obligation.  It also doubles as First Friday.  We will open at 10:30 am with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, then have 11:00 am Confessions, 11:30 am Rosary, Noon Mass followed by Sacred Heart devotions.

All Souls’ Day, November 2, doubles as First Saturday.  We will open at 10:30 am with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, then have 10:30 am Confessions, Noon Mass followed by Holy Rosary and 15 minutes meditation upon the Mysteries of the Rosary (as requested by Our Lady of Fatima).

Our Prayer for the Election schedule is as follows: St. Joseph Chapel will be open 7:00 pm-10:00 pm

  • November 4: St. Joseph Chapel will be open 7:00 pm-10:00 pm with Mass at 8:00 pm followed by Rosary in the Shrine-Grotto.
  • November 5: Election Day: St. Joseph Chapel will be open 5:00 pm-8:00 pm with Mass at 8:00 pm followed by Rosary in the Shrine-Grotto.

The Holy Rosary will be prayed on the hour and Eucharistic Exposition will be available until Mass (and begin after Mass if some people wish to stay in the chapel). May the Immaculata intercede for our country and for voters to choose wisely.

To communicate with me, please email me directly at  [email protected] or call/text me at (313) 727-9784.  All Saints, pray for us!
