Dear Friends,
Happy Advent! This new holy liturgical season began with some good news that St. Joseph Chapel & the Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341) has been chosen by Archbishop Vigneron as an official Archdiocesan Pilgrimage Site for the upcoming Jubilee Year 2025. The jubilee year officially begins Dec. 24, 2024 and ends January 6, 2026. There are 12 archdiocesan sites, so we are happy and honored to have been chosen as a place to obtain a Plenary Indulgence. (More details to follow.)
This week we celebrate First Wednesday (tomorrow), First Friday and First Saturday. St. Joseph, the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary—the Holy Family helps us embrace the journey of faith of Advent as we seek to grow in our love of God and our service to our neighbor.
