January 21, 2025

Dear Friends,

Tomorrow, January 22, the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we will have 2 Masses as Catholics in this country observe a “Day of Penance for Violations of Human Dignity committed through acts of Abortion & Euthanasia and a Day of Prayer for the Full Restoration of the Legal Guarantee to the Right to Life.”  Both our Mass collections will go to support Mother and Unborn Baby Care in Southfield  to help women in crisis situations to choose life.

We will have our normal schedule for the day with a Noon Mass.  In the evening, we will open at 6:30 pm with Eucharistic Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament followed by a 7:00 pm Holy Hour & Mass for LIFE.  This is like a day of Lent—we are called not only to prayer but to penance (such as fasting)—for only those practices will exorcise the demons of abortion deeply embedded in the soul and culture of America.

Our Holy Hour & Mass of Reparation will be this ThursdayJanuary 23.  At 6:30 pm we open our doors with Eucharistic Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament (Confession upon request), 7:00 pm Holy Hour followed by Holy Mass.

We will be OPEN for limited hours (11:30 am-1:30 pm) on Monday, February 3, for the feast of St. Blasé to offer the blessing of throats during Mass.

Jubilee Year of Hope booklets will be available (for free)—one per family or individual.  Fliers are also available if you can promote groups to visit St. Joseph Chapel & the Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341) for the Jubilee Year Plenary Indulgence.

Epiphany Water, the most powerful Holy Water the Church offers, is available in 4 ounce bottles for a $5.00 donation.

To communicate with me, please email me directly at [email protected] or call/text me at (313) 727-9784.  St. Agnes, pray for us!
