October 30, 2023
Dear Friends,
We are open 4 days this week all at normal hours (doors open at 10:30 am, Mass at Noon):
- (Wed. Nov. 1) All Saints’ Day (Holy Day of Obligation)
- (Thurs. Nov. 2) All Souls’ Day
- (Fri. Nov. 3) First Friday
- (Sat. Nov. 4) First Saturday
Please know that MASS INTENTIONS are an enormous help to us, Terra Sancta Ministries, a 501 c 3 charitable non-profit as we try to operate the shrine with an all-volunteer “staff,” without fundraising but by praying (“faith-raising”), and without receiving any monetary support from the Archdiocese of Detroit nor the Franciscan Order. Especially during the month of November—the month of praying for the Poor Souls—please consider the spiritual almsgiving of having Masses said for the Poor Souls.
Please continue to pray (especially the Holy Rosary) for peace in the Holy Land—the land of Our Lord, of Our Lady and of St. Joseph. The original charism of Terra Sancta Ministries is to build bridges with the Mother Church of Jerusalem and her Christian “living stones.” We do this by pilgrimage, by prayer and by financial support. The Palestinian Christians are often ignored as the media focuses on the larger population groups of Jews and Muslims. The Middle East needs Christians (in all its countries) who are the moderates since they live the Gospel of Jesus Christ that calls for love of one’s enemies. Let’s ask the Immaculata to intercede for peace with justice, for an end to oppression and terrorism.
To communicate with me, please DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL but email me directly at [email protected] or call/text me at (313) 727-9784. Our Lady of Fatima, Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us and for peace!
In Jesus, Mary & Joseph,
Fr. Alex Kratz, OFM
Spiritual Director of Terra Sancta Ministries
