The deadline to register for the conference on Our Lady of Guadalupe has been extended to August 5. The conference will held on Saturday, August 16 at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, from 8:30 am-5:00 pm. It costs $30.00/person, which includes breakfast & lunch. It is bilingual—that is, talks for English speakers will be held for the whole conference. I will hold a Bible Study on Genesis 12-50 on Saturday, September 13 and Saturday, September 20, from 1:00pm-3:00 pm in the Lower Level of St. Joseph Chapel. (We are skipping Genesis 1-11, the Primeval History, because I taught it a few years ago and it takes considerable time to cover.) We will be using as our textbook the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible, Genesis by Scott Hahn & Curtis Mitch. We have 20 copies of them (the large 8½ x 11 inches edition) available at $20 a copy—first come, first serve.
Tomorrow, August 1, is First Friday, and Saturday, August 2, is First Saturday. Saturday is also the Franciscan-Marian Feast of Our Lady of the Angels of the Portiuncula.
St. Joseph Chapel & the Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341) will be CLOSED for Summer Break August 3-13 and Saturday, August 16.
