Tomorrow, September 6, we will celebrate First Saturday at St. Joseph Chapel & the Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We heed the call of Fatima to grow closer to our Blessed Mother, through he Immaculate Heart, to help save souls.
At the end of Mass, our fellow Franciscan friar, Raphael Ozoude, now newly ordained as a priest, will introduce himself at the end of Mass and offer his priestly blessing to anyone who requests it. (A priest’s first-year blessing is special and very powerful.) Come meet Father Raphael!
This Monday, September 8, is the Memorial of the Birth of Mary. We WILL BE OPEN at our normal hours (open at 10:30 am with Eucharistic Exposition, 11:00 am Confessions, Noon Mass, followed by the Rosary). This mystical feast made all of creation rejoice for it was the dawn of God’s incarnation on earth in the divine person of Jesus Christ.
Our Bible Study on Genesis 12-50 will be on Saturdays, Sept. 13 and Saturday, Sept. 20, after Mass (about 12:45 pm) in the Lower Level. The textbook we will be using is Curtis Mitch and Scott Hahn, The Book of Genesis, Ignatius Catholic Study Bible. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
To communicate with me, please email me directly at abunaalex@yahoo.com or call/text me at (313) 727-9784. Our Lady of the Cape, pray for us!
