Dear Friends,
The Jubilee Year of Hope booklets from the Archdiocese of Detroit have arrived. We will provide one FREE copy per family or individual, as the case may be. The provide information about the Jubilee year and ways to obtain a Plenary Indulgence—including listing the 12 official Jubilee Year pilgrimage sites.
Since St. Joseph Chapel & the Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341) is one of the 12 Jubilee sites, we have created our own Jubilee Year fliers if any of you are willing to disseminate them. (Please don’t put them in a parish without the pastor’s permission!) The fliers also provide information about the Jubilee Year since not everyone will be able to obtain a booklet.
The Holy Hour & Mass of Reparation has been moved from this coming Third Monday, January 20, to Thursday, January 23. At 6:30 pm we open our doors with Eucharistic Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament (Confession upon request), 7:00 pm Holy Hour followed by Holy Mass.
Epiphany Water is now available. It is the most powerful Holy Water the Church offers. The water will be already bottled and available for a donation. It is highly recommended for situations of demonic disturbance and for protection from such.
Let’s pray for our country as the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday will be celebrated on the same day as the Presidential Inauguration. Let’s pray for the respect of the dignity of all people—of any race or social background—and for our newly elected officials to truly serve the common good.
To communicate with me, please DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL but email me directly at [email protected] or call/text me at (313) 727-9784. St. Anthony of the Desert, saint of today, pray for us!
In Jesus, Mary & Joseph,
Fr. Alex Kratz, OFM
