Happy “leap day” of our leap year! Tomorrow, March 1, begins the month of March—the month of St. Joseph. Consider taking on a devotion to him to help you grow in holiness. We have limited copies of the 30 Day Prayer to St. Joseph that are available upon request. Another prayer is the Novena to St. Joseph (HERE). We have limited copies available for this too. Besides for your own intentions, we are asking shrine supporters to pray the Novena for the needs of the Shrine and Terra Sancta Ministries.
Speaking of St. Joseph, the Solemnity of St. Joseph falls on a Tuesday, March 19. We will be open with Noon Mass. A reception will follow with a talk by Jim Miller, Lay Apostle of Divine Mercy, on “St. Joseph, Our Guardian.” Please mark your calendar to honor this great saint who can help us with all our needs.
First Friday & First Saturday are tomorrow and the day after. We will pray the Stations of the Cross after Friday’s Mass and pray the Consecration to the Sacred Heart during Mass.
“Catholic Matters Apologetics” will not be held on First Saturday. It will be held on March 9, 16, and 23 after Mass from 1:00-2:00 pm in the lower level of St. Joseph Chapel. It provides the Catholic perspective on issues upon which Catholics and Protestants differ.
A Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for the Lakes Area Right to Life will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish (White Lake) on Saturday, April 6 (6:00pm-9:00 pm). I would like to get a table of 8, with each seat being $25. If you would like to sit with me, please contact me—first come, first serve.
