Dear Friends,
Tonight, October 14, at Transfiguration Parish (25225 Code Rd., Southfield, MI 48033) I will preside at a Holy Hour & Mass for the Unborn, starting at 7:00 pm. Afterwards, there will be a reception and pro-life literature and outreach opportunities available.
This Wednesday all our asphalted surfaces—the parking lot & driveway—will be sealed. It will need to dry for 2 days. So there will be no parking on these areas on Wednesday, October 16 and Thursday, October 17. Please park on the gravel lots east (towards Woodward) of the parking lot and walk on the public sidewalk to the front entrance of St. Joseph Chapel. (The handicap ramp will not be accessible these two days.) Thank you.

Thank you for adopting the 83 Michigan counties to pray for that the Holy Spirit guide the election. It is said that 6 counties are especially pivotal: Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, Genesee and Saginaw. Please focus on them and Pennsylvania. You do need to contact me do “adopt” them. If you already adopted a different county, please still pray for these.
“Immigration and Prudence” will be the topic of our second Catholic Social Teaching on Contemporary Issues class. It will be after Mass this Saturday, October 19, in the Lower Level. No textbooks are left. Our textbook by Fr. Jeffrey Kirby, STD, Sanctify Them in Truth: How the Church’s Social Doctrine Addresses the Issues of Our Time. Future topics on the following Saturdays are the Environment (Oct. 26), LGBT+ Movement (Nov. 9), Universal Healthcare and Artificial Nutrition & Hydration (Nov. 16), Critical Race Theory (Nov. 30), and the Male Priesthood (Dec. 14).
