Dear Friends,
Today is the Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary commemorating that great naval victory in 1571 that saved Christian Europe from the Muslim Ottoman Turks at the Battle of Lepanto. Even more dangerous than physical enemies are the spiritual enemies of our salvation—the demons—so let’s pray the Holy Rosary DAILY to stay on the path of salvation. On this note, I will preach on the Rosary at all the Masses this weekend (Oct. 12-13) at St. Andrew’s in Rochester. Our Rosary Rally is this Saturday (Oct. 12) BEFORE Mass in front of St. Joseph Chapel.
Today, on the one-year anniversary of Hamas’s terrorist attack on Israel, we are invited by the Holy Father & the Cardinal-Patriarch of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem to fast for peace and justice in the Holy Land.
My October 4 email blast offered the sale of The Poem of the Man God. I was informed that this long writing about the life of the Jesus is still condemned by the Church. I will destroy my copy and do not recommend reading it.
Learning the hard way, I am reverting to our former Mass Schedule of Noon Masses only on Wednesdays, First Fridays and Saturdays. An 8:30 am Mass on other days of the week is too much to take on and doesn’t seem to be needed at this time and in this area.
Congratulations! All 83 Michigan counties have been adopted, and we’ve had multiple adopting intercessors for numerous counties. Those counties like Wayne County with urban areas need many intercessors anyways, but probably all counties do. Thank you!
To communicate with me, please DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL but email me directly at [email protected] or call/text me at (313) 727-9784. St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
In Jesus, Mary & Joseph,
