Dear Friends,

TODAY is the Feast of St. Bonaventure, the great Franciscan theologian called the “Seraphic Doctor,” whom we will commemorate at our Mass tonight for our Evening of Reparation (Third Monday) at St. Joseph Chapel & the Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341).  This (Third) Thursday, July 18, is the Evening for LIFE when we pray for a respect for all human life, especially the unborn.  The format is the same for both evenings: doors open with Eucharistic Exposition at 6:30 pm (Confession available upon request); a 7:00 pm Holy Hour followed by Holy Mass. Reparation reawakens the seraphic love embodied by St. Francis of whom St. Bonaventure so beautifully wrote about. Eucharistic reparation was called for by the Angel of Peace who appeared to the three children at Fatima in 1916.  It appeases Divine Justice and calls down Divine Mercy.

Thank you to all who helped with the visit of the official National Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of the Cape July 12-13.  Thank you to all who came.  Let’s keep praying for a blessed continued journey to the 10th National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis. May Our Lady intercede for an outpouring of grace at that gathering.  May Our Lady help us love our Eucharistic Jesus as she did. Under the veil of bread, He is so hidden and humble and yet so powerful and close to us if we but open ourselves to Him by giving him some of our time to adore Him.

To communicate with me, please DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL but email me directly at  [email protected] or call/text me at (313) 727-9784.  St. Bonaventure, pray for us!

In Jesus, Mary & Joseph,
