Dear Friends,
Please join us for the upcoming celebrations at St. Joseph Chapel & the Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341).
- Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 14, is the feast of St. Maximilian Kolbe, the great Franciscan devotee of “the Immaculata.” We commemorate him at our normal Mass time at Noon.
- At 7:00 pm tomorrow, we will have a Vigil Mass for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary—a Holy Day of Obligation.
- Thursday, August 15 is the Solemnity of the Assumption. We will BE OPEN at our normal hours (Door open with Exposition at 10:30 am, 11:00 am Confessions, 11:30 am Rosary and Noon Mass.
- There will be no Evening for LIFE this (Third) Thursday.
- We will be CLOSED this Saturday, August 17, due to the Dream Cruise.
- Monday, August 19, the Friars are moving into the former rectory at the shrine, now to be called “St. Joseph Friary.” Please pray for us.
- This Monday, August 19 (Third Monday) we will have our Evening of Reparation: 7:00 pm Holy Hour & Mass
- On Thursday, August 22 we will BE OPEN to celebrate the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary: Noon Mass with Consecration & Procession to the Shrine-Grotto (weather permitting) and the praying of the Rosary.
