First Friday is this Friday, August 7, as we honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus whose Heart burns with love for us.
This Saturday, August 8 is the Feast of St. Dominic to whom the Queen of Heaven gave the Holy Rosary. HOW MUCH WE NEED THE ROSARY today!
This Saturday is also the Roadkill Event of the M-1 Concourse—a drag race on Woodward Ave. This will be like a dress rehearsal for next Saturday’s Dream Cruise since Woodward and its environs will be inaccessible for through traffic so COME FROM THE WEST SIDE (golf course) side of the Shrine.

To obtain a Plenary Indulgence for this Jubilee Year of St. Francis, a few more conditions are necessary to be fulfilled than what is on the back of our Jubilee Year flier. We have slips of paper indicating the conditions.
Registration is open for the book study on Fr. Francesco Bamonte’s book, The Blessed Virgin Mary and the Devil in Exorcisms. This EVENING EVENT will be on the Tuesdays of September 8, 15, 22, 29 from 6:00-8:30 pm with Mass, a simple meal, and Marian catechesis. Fr. Bamonte is one of the leading exorcists in Italy. His book is the best book on the Blessed Virgin Mary I’ve read. The cost is $45.00 for the textbook and the 4 meals & 4 classes. The deadline for registration is September 5.
