Dear Friends,

Today is the 3rd Monday of the month when we have our Evening of Reparation. Doors open at 6:30 pm with Eucharistic Exposition. The Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 pm followed by Holy Mass. During the homily I will remember Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy of fighting against racism as we liturgically honor the first Franciscan martyrs who died in Morocco in 1219.

Epiphany Water is still readily available. It is the most powerful Holy Water the Catholic Church offers.

Next Monday, January 23, Catholics in the United States, as requested by our bishops, remember the still-disastrous judicial decision of Roe v. Wade. We will have a Mass and Holy Hour for Life & Reparation at St. Mary’s Chapel Orchard Lake: 7:00 pm Mass, 8:00 pm Holy Hour. This day for U.S. Catholics is properly called the “Day of Penance for Violations of Human Dignity committed through acts of Abortion & Euthanasia and a Day of Prayer for the Full Restoration of the Legal Guarantee to the Right to Life.” No matter the setbacks, we must persevere to live, promote and witness to the Gospel of Life.

To communicate with me, please DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL but email me directly at [email protected] or call/text me at (313) 727-9784. Holy Franciscan protomartyrs, pray for us!

In Jesus, Mary & Joseph,
Fr. Alex Kratz, OFM
