March 22, 2023
This Saturday, March 25 is the second Solemnity of Lent – the Annunciation of the Lord. Secular Franciscans (i.e., Third Order Franciscans) from all over the Detroit area will join us. Doors open at 10:30 am with Exposition and Confessions will be at 11:00 am. We will pray the Franciscan Rosary (the “Crown”) with its 7 Joys of Mary twice—once before Mass at 11:30 am and then after our Solemn Holy Mass at Noon.
This Friday we will pray the Stations of the Cross after Mass.
A Healing Service will be held on Thursday, March 30 at 7:00 pm. It will consist of a Holy Hour with Eucharistic adoration, the praying of the Holy Rosary and Benediction followed by the option of being prayed for by Healing Prayer Teams. Most importantly, Confession will be available throughout with 2 priests being available. Fr. Alex will bless anyone who wants it with the relic of the True Cross and a priestly blessing.
On Friday, March 31 (the Friday before Good Friday) we will have an OUTDOOR Stations of the Cross at 8:00 pm on our new outdoor Stations walkway. (We will still have our normal Noon Mass followed by the indoor Stations of the Cross earlier that day.) It is a great way to observe the Last Friday of Lent, to prepare for Holy Week and to really meditate on the Passion of Jesus who Himself did the first “outdoor” Stations of the Cross on Good Friday.
Epiphany Water is still available. It is the most powerful Holy Water the Church has (except water blessed by a bishop) and is highly recommended for dealing with demonic disturbances.
To communicate with me, email me directly at [email protected] or call/text me at (313) 727-9784. Our Lady of the Annunciation, pray for us to say FIAT to God’s will!
In Jesus, Mary & Joseph,
