Today the 5 Franciscan Friars called “the Georgia Martyrs” will be beatified. They died in 1597 defending monogamous marriage in what is now the State of Georgia (which didn’t exist until 1732) in an entire region called “La Florida.” The native peoples well accepted the friars and the Catholic Faith but it was a young aspirant to being chief who wanted a second wife that began the chain of events leading to the friars’ martyrdom. May they intercede for a safe, non-demonic Halloween which we put under the shed saving Precious Blood of Jesus Christ.
We have about 30 packets of the Milk Grotto powder (“Mary’s Milk”) from Bethlehem (where Mary nursed the Infant Jesus) that, when ingested with faith and prayer, can help women conceive and with other maternal problems. A $5.00 donation is requested for each packet.
On Monday, November 2, All Souls’ Day, we will have a PRAYER VIGIL for the Elections from 7:00-10:00 pm. Prayer can change the course of history. The SCHEDULE is as follows:
- (7:00 pm) Exposition & Rosary
- (7:45 pm) Chaplet of Divine Mercy
- (8:00 pm) All Souls’ Day Mass
- (9:00 pm) Exposition & Rosary
- (9:45 pm) Chaplet of Divine Mercy
- (10:00 pm) Benediction
We continue to invite you to make the ROSARY ELECTION PLEDGE since even AFTER ELECTIONS issues and electoral outcomes are often held in the balance. This pledge entails praying an extra Rosary if you pray a daily one, or committing to a daily Rosary through November 3 (or longer) if you don’t. It’s still the MONTH OF THE ROSARY, so praying the Rosary more is the best way to honor Our Lady of the Rosary. (Our shrine is a Rosary Shrine, and our main Madonna, Our Lady of the Cape, is the Queen of the Rosary.) Sister Lucia said that the Rosary today has a “new efficacy” and that “there is no problem that can’t be solved by the Rosary.” To MAKE YOUR PLEDGE, you need only provide your name—nothing else—to Margaret Williams (cell/text: 315-420-0711 or email: margo0767@yahoo.com). Currently 148 people have made the pledge! We want not only to surpass 150 pledges but reach even 175 pledges! “Nothing is impossible with God!”
To communicate with me, please call/text me at (313) 727-9784 or email me abunacalcio1982@gmail.com. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!
In Jesus, Mary & Joseph,
