Friday, March 25, is the Solemnity of the Annunciation. Pope Francis, with the Bishops and Priests of the world, will pray a Consecration of Russia & Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary at 12:00 pm EST (Noon). (One can view the livestream at facebook.com/ArchofDet or aod.org/livemasses.)
The message of Fatima is central in opposing Satan and his domination of the world’s power structures and his influence even in the Catholic Church. St. Jacinta of Fatima, shortly before her death in 1920, told Lucia, “Make it known that the Sacred Heart of Jesus wishes that the Immaculate Heart of Mary be honored with Him. People must ask for peace through the Immaculate Heart, for God has entrusted the peace of the world to her.” At this time in history, Our Lady is calling us to heed her message at Fatima. Neglecting to do so is, as we can see, leading to disastrous consequences.
As a Fatima shrine, the Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341) is dedicated to spreading and helping Catholics live the soul-saving message of Fatima. Thus, this is the FRIDAY SCHEDULE:
- (10:30 am) Doors open and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
- (11:00-11:30 am) Confessions.
- (11:30 am) The Holy Rosary (led by Fr. Alex)
- (12:00 pm) Consecration of Russia & Ukraine will be said by Fr. Alex; people are welcome to livestream Pope Francis’s praying of it on their phones while in chapel.
- (after the Consecration) Holy Mass: During the homily: Attendees will be invited to make a personal consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary (handout provided)
- (after Mass) Stations of the Cross: Prayed on all Fridays of Lent.
- (1:45 pm) Shrine closes.
Keep in mind Our Lady asked for Catholics to attend 5 First Saturdays as we express our devotion to her Immaculate Heart (by praying the Rosary, reflecting on it for 15 minutes, partaking of Holy Communion, etc.—all in a spirit of reparation). The next First Saturday is April 2. Come, and do your part to help bring the world back to God!
