Dear Friends,
This Sunday, June 13 at 4:00 pm my radio interview with Vanessa Denha Garmo about the Rosary will be aired on Catholic Radio 990 AM.
Every First Wednesday, traditionally a special day to honor St. Joseph, will be a voluntary day of fasting for your personal needs and for the needs of the shrine.  It’s amazing how many graces God suddenly pours out when one adds fasting to prayer!
Our healing ministry, Emmanuel Healing Ministry, will hold a Healing Service at the National Shrine of the Little Flower (Woodward Ave. & 12 Mile, Royal Oak), on Thursday, June 17.  Confessions will be 6:20 pm, Mass at 7:00 pm with the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, followed by Eucharistic Exposition/Benediction and Prayer Teams.
During June, the month of the Sacred Heart we will be able to display our repurposed statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at St. Joseph Chapel (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341).  It will be on display near our altar.
The Solemnity of the Sacred Heart is this Friday, June 11.  We WILL BE OPEN for this great feast at the normal weekday times: Open at 10:30 am, 11:00 am Confessions, 11:30 am Rosary, Noon Mass followed by Sacred Heart devotions.
The signature feast of our shrine historically has been the Immaculate Heart of Mary which is this Saturday, June 12.  Besides celebrating this special Memorial, we invite you after Mass to our first reception (in the lower level) in well over a year.  Our Lady promised: “My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God.”
Terra Sancta Ministries is re-establishing the shrine’s Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary to join the worldwide Catholic Church to unleash the graces of the Rosary while gaining its benefits.  Please use this link https://terrasanctaministries.net/confraternity/ for more details and to sign up to be a member of the Confraternity.  Our Lady is calling her spiritual children to prepare for this year’s Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, October 7—its 450th anniversary since the 1571 Battle of Lepanto!
For this momentous event, the film Bridge of Roses: The Story of Our Lady of the Cape will debut on Oct. 7.  It is a docudrama of Our Lady of the Cape (who is the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary).  Our Pontiac shrine is a shrine of this national Madonna of Canada, and is mystically connected to her message of reviving devotion to the Rosary for spiritual renewal in Jesus Christ.  Pre-register by visiting our website to watch the short trailer after which you can sign up to rent or buy the movie come Oct. 7.  Our times call for a worldwide movement to pray the Rosary to effect world peace and to convert sinners.
To communicate with me, email me directly at [email protected] or call/text me at (313) 727-9784.  O Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
In Jesus, Mary & Joseph,
Fr. Alex Kratz, OFM
