Dear Friends,

On this feast of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, Patroness of the Franciscan Third Order (especially of the Secular Franciscans), we are reminded that penance is intrinsic to the Christian vocation.

Tomorrow, November 18, we will have a “Friday Evening of Reparation & Lamentation” to atone for the sins against unborn human life and to lift up to the Father our cries of sorrow and disappointment as the culture of death spreads.  Where there is grievous sin, reparation is required.  The best reparation one can make is to attend Holy Mass and worthily and receive Holy Communion in a spirit of reparation (like on First Saturdays).  We will begin with 7:00 pm Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary; the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the Litany of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus and perhaps a few other prayers and a “Mass for the Forgiveness of Sins” will follow.  We will conclude by praying the outdoor Stations of the Cross under our new lights.  May we do our part to console the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

To communicate with me, please DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL but email me directly at [email protected] or call/text me at (313) 727-9784.  All the Saints in Heaven, pray for us!

In Jesus, Mary & Joseph,
