Tonight is our Holy Hour & Mass of Reparation at St. Joseph Chapel & the Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341). Doors open at 6:30 pm with Eucharistic Exposition and the option for Confession. The Holy Hour is at 7:00 pm, followed by the Mass of Reparation. Why do we offer reparation? While God’s mercy is infinite, He is also perfectly just. The greatness of our sins—abortion, violating God’s natural law and order, etc.—offend our Creator. “The God of love can also become the God of wrath.” (Korean mystic) Reparation atones for such great sins committed by Americans—including Christians—that we export throughout the world. We pray Divine Mercy stays the wrathful hand of God. It can also lead to the conversion of souls rather than their loss into Hell. Your prayers really make a difference for so many souls whose eternal fate hangs in the balance!
This Saturday, October 25, catechesis will be “The End”: The Last Things (eschatology). We will focus on the rise of “The Antichrist” with the help of the world government and what is happening in our Church today. We will begin after Mass in the Lower Level.
A few copies are left of Catholic & Christian: An Explanation of Commonly Misunderstood Catholic Beliefs—the best book I’ve seen that clearly explains the distinctiveness of Catholic doctrines, especially for Christians who misunderstand them. I highly recommend it.
Keep in mind that All Saints’ Day coincides with First Saturday—November 1. It will be a special day.
