Tomorrow (8/14/26) is the liturgical commemoration of St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe.  We will display our large image from Poland to honor him.  He reminds us to be completely guided by the Immaculata in fully and perfectly doing the will of the Father for the Kingdom of the Son.  He said to “co-operate with her in the battle with the serpent” and …

  • “love her as your mother, to the point of sacrifice. She loved you even to the point of sacrificing her own Divine Son.  At the Annunciation she received you freely as her child.”
  • “She will make you like to herself: she will purify you more and more, and feed you with the milk of her grace. Only let her guide you and freely form you.  Watch over the purity of your soul, purify it in her love.  Do not give way to discouragement, even (if) you should fall frequently into mortal sin.”
  • “Let her do with you what she will, so that she may not be in any way restricted in the exercise of her maternal duties towards her child.”

This Saturday, August 15 is the Holy Day and Solemnity of the Assumption of our Blessed Mother which we will honor appropriately.  It is also the DREAM CRUISE—so avoid coming from the east or Woodward Avenue direction.  (Friday may also be problematic coming from that direction.)

This coming Monday, August 17, is Third Monday—our Evening of Reparation.  Reparation rebalances, by God’s mercy, the spiritual-moral order disturbed by man’s sin.  It calls down mercy.  Please considering coming to pray for our troubled world: doors open at 5:30 pm with Eucharistic Exposition and Confession available; a Holy Hour of Reparation is at 6:00 pm followed by our Mass of Reparation.

Our October 12-22 Holy Land Pilgrimage still has a few spots available.  Please let me know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you are interested.  Walking in the footsteps of Jesus, visiting 18 of the 20 locations of the Mysteries of Rosary, having Mass on Calvary, taking a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, learning about the Immaculate Conception where it happened and more—will interiorly change you, deepen your discipleship and give you memories for a lifetime.  Truly, God came to earth and lived among us in the flesh!

Registration is open for the book study on Fr. Francesco Bamonte’s book, The Blessed Virgin Mary and the Devil in Exorcisms.  This EVENING EVENT will be on the Tuesdays of September 8, 15, 22, 29 from 6:00-8:30 pm with  Mass, a simple meal, and Marian catechesis.  Fr. Bamonte is one of the leading exorcists in Italy.  His book is the best book on the Blessed Virgin Mary I’ve read.  The cost is $45.00 for the textbook and the 4 meals & 4 classes.  The deadline for registration is September 5.  I CAN EMAIL A FLIER on this upon request.  The FLIER IS ATTACHED.  Understanding this book will help us understand the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary when Jesus will reign as King over all the earth.  Please contact Dawn Pulcer, OFS, if you wish to register: (586) 419-5291 or dpulcertsm@gmail.com.

To communicate with me, please call/text me at (313) 727-9784 or email me abunacalcio1982@gmail.comSt. Clare of Assisi (whose feast was yesterday), pray for us!
