This Wednesday evening, October 29, I will be giving a talk to the young adults of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish on spiritual warfare, especially in light of the proximity of Halloween. They have kindly opened this initially private event to anyone who would like to come. This isn’t a talk on Halloween, though I may address some aspects of it, but more about spiritual warfare. The schedule: Doors open at 6:30 pm with Exposition, the talk begins at 7:00 pm with some Question & Answer, some quiet adoration and we will conclude with the Rosary.
First Saturday is this Saturday, November 1. It is All Saints’ Day. A Vigil Mass for the following day (when that is applicable) must be at 4:00 pm or later. Vigil Masses on Friday night apply to the Holy Day (not of obligation, however) on Saturday—All Saints’ Day. Vigil Masses on Saturday at 4:00 pm or after apply to the Sunday Mass which is All Souls’ Day.
